Scapoli (Molise)

Scapoli is a town and comune located in province of Isernia, which is part of the region of Molise, southern Italy. Located in the western area of the province, near the region of Lazio, it borders with the municipalities of Colli a Volturno, Filignano and Rocchetta a Volturno. It is connected to the nearby municipality of Vallerotonda (Province of Frosinone, Lazio), by the national road via Cerasuolo, below the Mainarde mountains. Scapoli is known for the tradition of zampogne (bagpipes), ancient musical instruments traditionally associated with Christmas carols, still made by hand by the local artisans. To celebrate Scapoli’s love for zampogne, the Festa della Zampogna has been held every year since July 1975, when thousands of bagpipe aficionados from all over the world flock to town

I'm registered as an Italian living abroad under A.I.R.E. and receive vote by mail ballots every so often to vote in Italian national elections.

@S.p asks:

Hi all,

I am asking a question that has been asked, no doubt, many times. I plan on getting the ferry to Cherbourg from Ireland in June and travelling to Molise. I will have 2 children and a dog for company. Any advice on routes, stop overs, etc. would be gratefully appreciated.

Dealing with paying bills continues to befuddle. I just received a water bill for my house from a bill paying company hired by my comune. This company is known as PagoPa. Because I'm not in Italy full time, the only option I can use is paying by credit card.
