Fossombrone (Marche)

Fossombrone is a town in the province of Pesaro e Urbino, Marche, central Italy. The city and its environs abound in antiquities, especially inscriptions. Noteworthy remains are the statue of the god Vertumnus; the Furlo Pass, constructed by the Emperor Vespasian to shorten the passage of that mountain; the bridge of Trajan (115) near Calmazzo, and the bridge now called Ponte della Concordia, originally built in 292 by Diocletian, both over the Metaurus.

What others are saying about Marche

Dear community,

We are currently looking into buying a property just outside of Macerata. Does anyone know of a good English speaking solicitor in the area as our Italian is very basic?

Thank you

@nick asks:

Household bills, have I thought of everything?

insurance, gas, electric, water, TARI and IMU......anything I’ve missed? We are in the process of buying a house near in Le Marche so any help/ guidance appreciated. One last thing; is IMU and TASI the same thing?

@Jim D asks:

Hello everyone.  I have a house in Le Marche.  We have some big old (50+ years) olive trees that have traditionally been pretty good croppers and we planted about 20 new ones around 5 years ago.  The old trees have not been pruned for a year or so.  We now have very few olives on the old trees cu
