My husband and I are planning to move to Bologna within the next couple of years. We are working on a visa which requires us to have a rental agreement in place to qualify for the visa but we need the visa to get into the country. Any ideas as to how to solve this catch-22?
Sasso Marconi (Emilia Romagna)
Sasso Marconi is a town and comune of the Metropolitan City of Bologna in northern Italy, 17 kilometres (11 mi) south-southwest of Bologna.
Known as Sasso Bolognese until 1938, it is named after Guglielmo Marconi, the radio pioneer, who was born in the nearby city of Bologna. In 1902, Marconi received the first transatlantic radio signal at Poldhu Cove, Cornwall, UK. The name Sasso ("rock") derives from the Pliocenic rock formation called Sasso della Glosina that commands the confluence of the Setta and Reno rivers.

My father died intestate in Italy 30 years ago. It was his verbal request that the apartment he owned with my mother be inherited by my eldest brother, which the family (my other 3 brothers and myself) agreed to, by signing a letter stating our acceptance.

I love Italy - the music, culture, food and language. Would love to move there.I'm self-employed and run my own business in the UK in a technical field and one where Italy appears to be seeking people to fill.
